Named after the woman who envisioned the entire project, Louisville civic leader and philanthropist Christy Brown, Christy’s Garden is dedicated to the Health and Harmony of the community and providing a space to make the arts more accessible. A place for reflection on our overall health - interconnections needed for a balanced healthy community are more than the absence of disease - we must thrive in making decisions through the lens of health for better physical, mental and social health. Paristown is sentimental for Christy Brown, who worked in an office there for 15 years. “It takes each of us – each and every one of us – to become part of the solutions for improving, making our neighborhoods healthier,” Brown said.
